There is a powerful threshold when one is standing within the crossroads of the light. We can become so assured that we are resting in the presence of the Divine or the Creator, yet the ego and our attachments want so much to be reassured that we are indeed in that
light that we forget we are still embodied in human form. Until we have crossed that threshold, we are still responsible for our relationship to self, to others, the world, and the heavens. Even in the spirit world, those who have traveled through various dimensions still seek solace and peace within their spirit bodies. Evolution does not stop when we cross into other worlds. In fact, it becomes even more important. Whether you stand within the Holy Trinity, honor the Four Directions, or are an integral part of any other spiritual tradition that has afforded every human being the right to find peace within their humanity, the integration of ancestral and world lineages rests solely on the free will we all have to live our lives in respect of those spiritual laws which unite us in all worlds.
I want to share a story that I tell my students every so often when teaching about ancestral patterning and integration. It was the summer prior to the attacks of the two towers at the World Trade Center – 9/11. The atmospheric energies had been heightened, the veil between the worlds was much thinner than usual. The skies seemed different. I tend to watch the behavior of the animals and even the trees when I have time. All seemed out of the usual context and I just assumed it was another shift occurring. I had noticed a heightened sense of my own sensitivities as well as those I worked with. Themes began to form. Mental illnesses were rising in numbers; people were feeling more depressed than they had ever experienced. Sleeping patterns had shifted where a good night’s rest was hard to come by and dreamtime was escalating. Physically those who already had chronic illnesses were deteriorating, fatigue was prevalent, and a general malaise seemed to take over. This just wasn’t in my own culture. These shifts were everywhere.
Three weeks to a month before the attacks my prayers became more fervent. I wasn’t sure why until I began to see spirits passing through the walls of my home in great numbers. The mist was so intense that I could not tell if my home was even my home any longer or if I was so in between worlds that it didn’t even matter. The confusion, the screams, the smell of smoke, the rampant running from one dimension to the next. It didn’t stop. My prayers became even stronger, all the while observing what was happening to people around me; friends, family, colleagues, clients, etc. I have always learned from the spirit world that what happens here on earth takes place in the heavens first. Being a collective empath, this was my first experience watching humanity actually ‘take on’ the wounds of their brethren while they were in the midst of crossing even before the actual tragedy took place. This was a rare lesson in humility for me to truly see just how connected we are as a world family, that if one child of God suffers, then we all suffer. If one knows joy, then we all know joy. I had been able to discern this through individually working with people and their ancestors, but to experience the effects of world and transgenerational trauma through the spirit world was humbling. As the prayers continued, I spoke with a handful of colleagues who also were experiencing something similar. I was not physically well myself those weeks leading up to the actual day of the attacks on the World Trade Center, but I knew that my physical issues as well as those around me would be alleviated once the traumatic event came to pass.
After 9/11 I watched as spirits attached more heavily to human bodies, in their search for the light and for clarity from the confusion. As the heavens became clearer as those souls were finding peace, many of those who developed illnesses during that time began to heal. And some did not.One cannot live without truly dying. Dying takes place on many levels and those who came before us, those who live with us and those who will come after us are all connected to one source.
I used the events of September 11th as an example. All around the world, shifts are taking place which are giving us the opportunity to have power over humanity or to empower humanity. Our choices create a ripple effect not only in this world, but also in the spirit world. Many of you are seeing changes in your health, your relationships, your families. Some of what is directly affecting each one of us are the consequences of those choices as they impact humanity. If harm is done, the spirit world reacts and that energy is felt by every living human being. Our ancestry does not only encompass our direct lineage. Our ancestors become all those who are lost in the spirit world trying to find their way. We mirror them and they mirror us. The time it takes to integrate wounds across those barriers can be a lengthy process. If there is a wound by any living creature in the spirit world, you can be rest assured that their wound is your wound until it is elevated and raised in the light of peace.
The healing of ancestral and transgenerational trauma begins at home, with one conscious choice. One conscious choice can heal every dimension created under God.
