God birthed my womb
And named her Grace.
He stood there
Imbued with glory
Witnessing my own miracle
As I birthed a thousand more.
Ancestors they would become
After stewarding an emptiness
Upon a lonely earth.
A barren land
Of inner and outer worlds
Unseen until creation was given a voice.
Oh Grace,
You gave this earth humanity.
And how have we returned that gift?
I honestly don’t know how to answer that.
